    Summer Camp programs being offered for 2013:

    Soccer Camp - Town of Fort Mill Parks & Recreation Department and Discoveries Soccer will be offering 2 sessions of 4-day soccer camps for ages 6 - 12. 

    June 10 - 13 & July 29 - August 1. The times will be from 9am - 4pm Cost is $280 per participant with a sibling discount of $15 which includes a camp t-shirt. The soccer camp will be directed by Discoveries Soccer staff and will focus on fundamentals of dribbling, passing, shooting and teamwork. Camp will take place at Soccer Field @ Recreation Complex.

    Softball Camp - Town of Fort Mill Parks & Recreation Department and Fort Mill High School Varsity Softball team will be offering a 4-day session of softball camp for girls ages 7 - 14 the week of June 24th - 27th from 9:00 am - noon daily.  Cost is $70 per participant which includes a camp t - shirt. The softball camp will be directed by Coach Chuck Stegall and his staff. The camp will focus on fundamentals of hitting, fielding, throwing, and teamwork. Camp will take place at Fort Mill High School Softball Field.

    Basketball Camp - Town of Fort Mill Parks & Recreation Department and Fort Mill High School Varsity Basketball team will be offering a 4 - day session of basketball camp for boys & girls ages 6 - 13 the week of June 10 - 13 from 8:30am - 12pm noon daily. Cost is $70 per participant which includes a $5 discount per sibling and camp T - shirt. The camp will be directed by Coach Dwayne Hartsoe and his staff. The camp will focus on fundamentals of dribbling, passing, offensive & defensive drills, and teamwork. Camp site will be Banks Street Gym.

    Lacrosse Camp - Town of Fort Mill Parks & Recreation Department and Nation Ford High School Lacrosse team will be offering a 4-day session of lacrosse camp for rising 4th - 8th grade boys and girs the week of July 15th - 18th from 9:00 am - noon daily.    Cost is $125 per participant and includes a camp t-shirt and starter lacrosse stick.  The camp will be run by former collegiate lacrosse players and local high school players.  The camp will be held at Nation Ford High School.    

    Football Camp -  Town of Fort Mill Parks & Recreation Department and Nation Ford High School Football will be offering two sessions of football camp.  Cost is $90 and camp will run from 9:00 am - noon daily.  Both camps will be held at Nation Ford High School and directed by Head Football Coach Michael Allen and his staff. 

    • Session One - June 17th - 19th for ages 6-11
    • Session Two - June 19th - 21st for rising 6th - 8th graders

    Tennis Camps and Lessons - Fort Mill Parks & Recreation Department is partnering with Absolute Tennis. The tennis program is geared for ages 3 to 18 years of age.  Lessons and individual instruction for adults is also available.  Camps available this summer are for the following dates:

    Cost is $140 / week 9am - 1pm and $160 / week 9am - 3pm. Recreation complex members get a $10 discount. You must be regsitered to attend any camp session.

    Lessons are taught monthly and camps are offered weekly.  We are currently registering now at the Recreation Complex and you can call 803-547-4575 or stop by the registration desk for more information. Lessons are during the week and also on Saturday morning. Instructor / Pro for the tennis program is Billy McKinney.

    Mission Statement
    The Parks & Recreation Department strives to develop and maintain all Town parks in a safe and attractive manner. The Department is a professional organization that serves as a catalyst to enhance the well – being and vitality of the people who live, work, play, and visit Fort Mill. We also collaborate with other recreation providers for facility use during athletic contests. 

    The Town of Fort Mill Parks & Recreation Department provides overall management of the town’s Parks & Recreation facilities and green spaces. These facilities are Harris Street Park, Steele Street Park, Confederate Park, Doby Bridge Park, Calhoun Street Park, Walter Elisha Park, and the Spratt Building.

    Park Rules

    • Park Hours 6:30 a.m. – 9:30 p. m.
    • No motorized vehicles allowed in park unless authorized
    • No alcoholic beverages, fireworks, or weapons of any kind
    • No bicycles, skates, or skateboards, allowed on basketball courts
    • All pets must be on a leash
    • Small children must be accompanied by responsible adult
    • To reserve picnic shelter or Spratt Building, call (803) 547-2116
    • The Town of Fort Mill is not responsible for accidents or injuries incurred while using park or its facilities.
    • Please help keep the parks clean by disposing of trash in the containers.

    The Spratt Building is a special event & meeting center located on Fort Mill’s historic Main Street. Once a bank this elegant architecture constructed in 1911 was recently renovated to enhance the amenities offered. The Spratt Building provides a stimulating atmosphere for an event with a lasting memory. The Spratt Building can host your next event at our exclusive facility.

    Harris Street Park

    Harris Street Park is a 10 acre park located in the Harris Street neighborhood between Jackson Street and Yorktowne Street. Park hours are 6:30 am – 9:30 PM daily.

    The Park offers the following amenities:

    • Picnic Shelter with 2 eight foot picnic tables
      • 25 people maximum capacity
      • Picnic permit hours: 9:00 am – 8:00 pm , 7 days per week
    • Grills
    • Children’s Play Equipment with swings
    • 1 Lighted Basketball Court
    • 1 Lighted Baseball / Softball Diamond / Field (225’)
    • 1 Gazebo with picnic table
      • 25 person maximum capacity
      • Picnic permit hours: 9:00 am – 8:00 pm , 7 days per week

    Steele Street Park

    Steele Street Park is a 5 acre park located in the Steele Street neighborhood between Berry Street and McGee Street. Park hours are 6:30 am – 9:30 pm daily.

    The Park offers the following amenities:

    • Picnic Shelter with 1 eight foot picnic table
      • 15 person maximum capacity
      • Picnic permit hours: 9:00 am – 8:00 pm, 7 days per week
    • Grills
    • Children’s Play Equipment with swings
    • Restroom Facilities (Note: Closed 3rd week of December until 1st week March)
    • 1 Lighted Basketball Court

    Doby Bridge Park

    Doby Bridge Park is a 14-acre park located near the fast growing Doby Bridge Road neighborhoods between Putnam Lane and Whites Road. Park hours are 6:30 am – 9:30 pm daily.

    The park offers the following amenities:

    • 3 Lighted Baseball Diamonds / Field (320’, 275' and 225')
    • 4 picnic Tables
    • Children’s Play Equipment
    • Restroom Facilities (Note: Closed 3rd week of December until 1st week March)

    Calhoun Street Park

    Calhoun Street Park is a three acre park located behind Walter Elisha Park between Self Street and Park Drive.

    The park offers the following amenities:

    • 1 lighted multi – purpose athletic field (youth soccer and football)
    • 1 gazebo with two picnic tables
    • Picnic permit hours 9:00am – 8:00pm
    • Parking Lot and overflow lot is also available on Self Street
    • Field Rentals are $25 without lights and $35 with lights for 1.5 hours

    Walter Elisha Park
    345 North White Street

    Walter Elisha Park is a 12-acre park located on North White Street between Ardrey Street and Sidney Johnson Street that offers several amenities such as a walking trail, playground facilities, and a large green space that is home to the Town's annual "The SC Strawberry Festival". 
    Park Hours are 6:30am-9:30pm daily.

    The park offers the following amenities:

    • 0.6 mile walking trail
    • Children's Play Equipment (slides, jungle gym, etc)
    • Large Green Space
    • Springs of Achievement Sculptures
