Qualifications:

  • Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent, or any equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides the required skills, knowledge, and experience.
  • Must possess or have ability to obtain S.C. Law Enforcement certification. Additional certifications may be required.
  • Must possess a valid South Carolina driver’s license.

Salary:

Crewman Building and Grounds- Public Works Department

The Town of Fort Mill Public Works Department is currently accepting applications for a Crewman in the Building and Grounds Department.

Job Duties:

  • Participates in building and grounds maintenance duties as assigned, including but not limited to cutting grass, removing weeds, removing debris, cutting limbs from trees, digging and covering graves, moving tomb stones, clearing streets during inclement weather, etc.
  • Drives and operates a leaf truck; rakes and loads leaves onto truck
  • Operates a bush hog, back hoe, truck, lawn mower, hedge trimmer, etc. and various hand and power tools.

Minimum Training and Experience:

  • Requires a high school diploma or GED
  • Must possess a valid South Carolina state driver’s license.

Starting Salary: $12.41 per hour

Firefighter- Fire Department

The Town of Fort Mill is accepting applications for the position of Firefighter II.

  • Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent supplemented by training in fire service programs, or an equivalent combination of education training and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
  • Must have current Firefighter II and EMT certifications.
  • Must possess a valid Class E driver’s license.

Salary Range: 

Starting Salary: $33,645, excellent benefits package included.
